While some enema practitioners feel that the container is important to the entire process, some other people do not have any issues with it at all. The size of the container is also an issue that some people will discuss. Typically, the larger the container the higher the dosage that can be administered. There is some debate as to how large should the container be when considering that enemas are considered very safe procedures. There are those that believe that no dosage should be administered over the limit of one ounce per minute and there are those that feel that this is not a safe practice and will overpower the process.
The way that the filling material is to be inserted into the container will affect the effectiveness of the entire procedure. The most common filling material is sterile butyl rubber. Some newer materials that are becoming more widely used are KY Jelly, Calamine Moisturizer, and sterile gauze. When selecting the filling, make sure that it is FDA approved so that you are not exposing yourself to harmful chemicals during the process. Be sure that you select a filling that is comfortable for you.
There are two basic types of enema containers that are used during the process. One type of enema container is called the suppository enema container. These are made out of flexible rubber-like material that is shaped like a suppository. They are used for providing lubrication to the enema process and they come in individual packages that can be resealed after use if they become too worn out for the user. A lotion or gel-like material is used for the second type of enema container.
The other type of container used for the enema process is the sitz bath or the soaking bath. These are usually made out of plastic that has holes in the top. Water is placed in the bottom of the container and a small amount of medication is placed into the hole at the top. The idea is that the medication gets saturated with water and then it is absorbed into the body through the holes.
There are many different methods used for enema. They range from practicing yoga positions for relaxation to practicing the Indian method using the medicated powder. No matter which type of enema method you choose, the most important thing to do during the process is relaxed. A lot of stress can cause a person to have a hard time relaxing during the treatment. Many people who try different methods of enema find that they can use the same container several times before they get results. This is one of the reasons why it is so important to practice relaxation techniques every single time you attempt the process.
